OPERATIONS

Block 2113A | PEL 0058

Regional Setting & Petroleum Geology

Nabirm holds a 90% operated interest in Petroleum Exploration Licence 0058 (Block 2113A), a 5,750 km² concession spanning the offshore Walvis and onshore Huab basins. The block comprises 3,600 km² offshore and 2,150 km² onshore acreage.

Hydrocarbon Prospectivity – Block 2113A Leads Snapshot

In 2015, Nabirm acquired 684 line-km of 2D seismic, gravity, and magnetics data over Block 2113A via a 24-line grid. Integrated interpretation with regional studies delineated depositional sequences and structural elements, resulting in the identification of six distinct exploration leads:

  • Four Structural Leads: Defined by four-way closures, both faulted and unfaulted, within the basement overlain by onlapping sedimentary sequences.
  • One Stratigraphic Lead: Characterized by a Cretaceous/Tertiary/Karoo sequence pinch-out that onlaps basement and is capped by a structural surface.
  • One Amplitude Anomaly Lead: A stratigraphically trapped feature identified by a pronounced seismic amplitude anomaly in the southern survey area.

Nabirm's Proposed Integrated Work Program: 2025 - 2026

The work program is designed to de-risk existing leads and mature drillable prospects through a multi-physics, data-integration approach.

  • This includes the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of new 3D Controlled Source Electromagnetic (“CSEM”) data across identified 2D seismic leads.
  • The subsequent inversion of the 3D CSEM will be fully integrated with Nabirm’s proprietary 2D seismic and legacy 3D data across the block.
  • This comprehensive integration, further enhanced by proprietary satellite seep studies and the re-evaluation of all legacy 2D seismic lines, forms a robust geophysical and geological foundation for high-grading prospects and selecting optimal drilling targets.
  • The program will culminate in an updated Competent Persons Report (CPR), inclusive of a detailed economic evaluation of Block 2113A, to be prepared following the 3D CSEM interpretation.
  • The holistic design and systematic data synthesis of this work program are projected to deliver a high-efficacy pathway for prospect maturation and resource booking.
